* Improve ObjectFormat interface (#28496)Lunny Xiao2023-12-191-6/+6
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The 4 functions are duplicated, especially as interface methods. I think we just need to keep `MustID` the only one and remove other 3. ``` MustID(b []byte) ObjectID MustIDFromString(s string) ObjectID NewID(b []byte) (ObjectID, error) NewIDFromString(s string) (ObjectID, error) ``` Introduced the new interfrace method `ComputeHash` which will replace the interface `HasherInterface`. Now we don't need to keep two interfaces. Reintroduced `git.NewIDFromString` and `git.MustIDFromString`. The new function will detect the hash length to decide which objectformat of it. If it's 40, then it's SHA1. If it's 64, then it's SHA256. This will be right if the commitID is a full one. So the parameter should be always a full commit id. @AdamMajer Please review.
* Adjust object format interface (#28469)Lunny Xiao2023-12-171-3/+3
| | | | | | | - Remove `ObjectFormatID` - Remove function `ObjectFormatFromID`. - Use `Sha1ObjectFormat` directly but not a pointer because it's an empty struct. - Store `ObjectFormatName` in `repository` struct
* Abstract hash function usage (#28138)Adam Majer2023-12-131-9/+13
| | | | | | Refactor Hash interfaces and centralize hash function. This will allow easier introduction of different hash function later on. This forms the "no-op" part of the SHA256 enablement patch.

* Refactor parseTreeEntries, speed up tree list (#21368)wxiaoguang2022-10-081-6/+42
| | | | | Close #20315 (fix the panic when parsing invalid input), Speed up #20231 (use ls-tree without size field) Introduce ListEntriesRecursiveFast (ls-tree without size) and ListEntriesRecursiveWithSize (ls-tree with size)
* Remove legacy `+build:` constraint (#19582)wxiaoguang2022-05-021-1/+0
| | | Go 1.17 and later use modern `//go:build` constraints, the old `// +build:` constraints should be removed.

* Reduce calls to git cat-file -s (#14682)zeripath2021-02-171-0/+70
* Reduce calls to git cat-file -s There are multiple places where there are repeated calls to git cat-file -s due to the blobs not being created with their size. Through judicious use of git ls-tree -l and slight adjustments to the indexer code we can avoid a lot of these calls. * simplify by always expecting the long format * Also always set the sized field and tell the indexer the update is sized
