There was a bug when carrying over flags from a merge commit to its
non-first parents. The first parent of a merge commit was handled
differently and correct but the non-first parents are handled by a
recursive algorithm. Flags should be copied from the root merge commit
to parent-2, to grandparent-2, ... up to the limit of STACK_DEPTH==500
parents-levels. But the recursive algorithm was always copying only to
the direct parents of the merge commit and not the grand*-parents.
This seems to be no problem when commits are handled in a strict date
order because then copying only one level is no problem if children are
handled before parents. But when commits are not seperated anymore by
distinctive correct dates (e.g. because all commits have the same date)
then it may happen that a merge-parent is handled before the merge
commit and when dealing later with the merge commit one has to copy
flags down to more than one level

RevCommit: Better support invalid encoding headers
With this support we no longer need the 'utf-8' alias. UTF-8 will be
automatically tried when the encoding header is not recognized and used
if the character sequence cleanly decodes as UTF-8.

Despite being the primary author of RevWalk and ObjectWalk I still
fail to remember to setRetainBody(false) in application code using
an ObjectWalk to examine the graph.
Document the default for RevWalk is setRetainBody(true), where the
application usually wants the commit bodies to display or inspect.
Change the default for ObjectWalk to setRetainBody(false), as nearly
all callers want only the graph shape and do not need the larger text
inside a commit body. This allows some code in JGit to be simplified.

Let ObjectWalk.markUninteresting also mark the root tree as
uninteresting
Using the ObjectWalk and marking a commit as uninteresting didn't mark
its root tree as uninteresting. This caused the "missing tree ..."
error in Gerrit under special circumstances. For example, if the
patch-set 2 changes only the commit message then the patch-set 1
and patch-set 2 share the same root-tree:
ps1 -> o o <- ps2
\ /
o root-tree
The transported pack will contain the ps2 commit but not the root-tree
object.
When using the BaseReceivePack.setCheckReferencedObjectsAreReachable
JGit will check the reachability of all referenced objects not provided
in the transported pack. Since the ps1 was advertised it will properly
be marked as uninteresting. However, the root-tree was reachable because
the ObjectWalk.markUninteresting missed to mark it as uninteresting.
JGit was then rejecting the pack with the "missing tree ..." exception.

Rename RewriteTreeFilter to TreeRevFilter and make it public
The current behavior of passing a TreeFilter to RevWalk has limited
usefulness, since the RevFilter derived from the TreeFilter is always
ANDed together with any other RevFilters. It is also tied fairly
tightly to the parent rewriting mechanism.
Make TreeRevFilter a generic RevFilter that matches modified paths
against any TreeFilter. This allows for more complex logic like
(modified this path OR authored by this person).
Leave the rewrite flag logic in this class, since it's closely tied to
the parent comparison code, but hidden behind a protected constructor.

Previously, setting any TreeFilter on a RevWalk triggered parent
rewriting, which in the current StartGenerator implementation ends up
buffering the entire commit history in memory. Aside from causing poor
performance on large histories, this does not match the default
behavior of `git rev-list`, which does not rewrite parent SHAs unless
asked to via --parents/--children.
Add a new method setRewriteParents() to RevWalk to disable this
behavior. Continue rewriting parents by default to maintain backwards
compatibility.

Fix RevWalkUtils.findBranchesReachableFrom not finding some branches
The "cut off" optimization causes it to not include branches that
contain the specified commit but happen to share commits with a branch
that does not contain the commit.
An example:
-B foo
\
-A---C master
findBranchesReachableFrom for commit A with both branches as input may
not return master (depending on the order of the input). The reason is
that A is not contained in foo, and therefore the old code would put B
in the cutOff set. When then walking the master commits and B is
checked, it is found in the cutOff set and the walk is aborted, causing
master not to be returned even though it should.

The various rename detection options are an inherent part of the
filter, similar to the path being followed.
This fixes a potential NPE when a RevWalk with a FollowFilter is
created without a Repository, since the old code path tried to get

Allow detecting which files were renamed during a revwalk
The egit history view shows the files associated with a commit by using
a PathFilter. When following renames with a FollowFilter, the PathFilter
cannot be configured anymore because the affected files are simply not
known.
Thus, it should be possible to get to know which files are renamed.

RevWalk: Avoid unnecessary re-parsing of commit bodies
If the RevFilter doesn't actually require the commit body,
we shouldn't reparse it if the body was disposed. This happens
often inside of UploadPack during common ancestor negotation, the
RevWalk is reset and re-run over roughly the same commit space,
but the bodies are discarded because the commit message is not
relevant to the process.

Parse RevCommit bodies before calling RevFilter.include()
RevFilter.include()'s documentation promises the RevCommit's
body is parsed before include is invoked. This wasn't always
true if the commit was parsed once, had its body discarded,
the RevWalk was reset() and started a new traversal.

Eclipse has some problem re-running single JUnit tests if
the tests are in Junit 3 format, but the JUnit 4 launcher
is used. This was quite unnecessary and the move was not
completed. We still have no JUnit4 test.
This completes the extermination of JUnit3. Most of the
work was global searce/replace using regular expression,
followed by numerous invocarions of quick-fix and organize
imports and verification that we had the same number of
tests before and after.
- Annotations were introduced.
- All references to JUnit3 classes removed
- Half-good replacement for getting the test name. This was
needed to make the TestRngs work. The initialization of
TestRngs was also made lazily since we can not longer find
out the test name in runtime in the @Before methods.
- Renamed test classes to end with Test, with the exception
of TestTranslateBundle, which fails from Maven
- Moved JGitTestUtil to the junit support bundle

When RevObject overrode equals() to provide only reference equality
we used to need to convert a RevObject into an ObjectId by copy()
just to use standard Java tools like JUnit assertEquals(), or to
use contains() or get() on standard java.util collection types.
Now that we have removed this override and made ObjectId's equals()
final (preventing any of this mess in the future), some copy()
calls are unnecessary. Anytime the value is being used as an input
to a lookup routine, or to an equals, we can avoid the copy().
However we still want to use copy() anytime we are given an ObjectId
that may exist long-term, where we don't want the high cost of the
additional storage from a RevCommit extension. So we can't remove
all uses of copy(), just some of them.
