* Move commits signature and verify functions to service layers (#33605)Lunny Xiao2025-02-161-40/+0
| | | | No logic change, just move functions.
* Improve commits list performance to reduce unnecessary database queries (#33528)Lunny Xiao2025-02-141-1/+4
| | | | | | When listing commits, Gitea attempts to retrieve the actual user based on the commit email. Querying users one by one from the database is inefficient. This PR optimizes the process by batch querying users by email, reducing the number of database queries.

* Rename project board -> column to make the UI less confusing (#30170)Lunny Xiao2024-05-271-3/+3
| | | | | | | | | | | | | This PR split the `Board` into two parts. One is the struct has been renamed to `Column` and the second we have a `Template Type`. But to make it easier to review, this PR will not change the database schemas, they are just renames. The database schema changes could be in future PRs. --------- Co-authored-by: silverwind <me@silverwind.io> Co-authored-by: yp05327 <576951401@qq.com>
* Add container.FilterSlice function (#30339)oliverpool2024-04-091-5/+4
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Many places have the following logic: ```go func (jobs ActionJobList) GetRunIDs() []int64 { ids := make(container.Set[int64], len(jobs)) for _, j := range jobs { if j.RunID == 0 { continue } ids.Add(j.RunID) } return ids.Values() } ``` this introduces a `container.FilterMapUnique` function, which reduces the code above to: ```go func (jobs ActionJobList) GetRunIDs() []int64 { return container.FilterMapUnique(jobs, func(j *ActionRunJob) (int64, bool) { return j.RunID, j.RunID != 0 }) } ```

* remove util.OptionalBool and related functions (#29513)65432024-03-021-7/+8

* Refactor some Str2html code (#29397)wxiaoguang2024-03-011-2/+3
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This PR touches the most interesting part of the "template refactoring". 1. Unclear variable type. Especially for "web/feed/convert.go": sometimes it uses text, sometimes it uses HTML. 2. Assign text content to "RenderedContent" field, for example: ` project.RenderedContent = project.Description` in web/org/projects.go 3. Assign rendered content to text field, for example: `r.Note = rendered content` in web/repo/release.go 4. (possible) Incorrectly calling `{{Str2html .PackageDescriptor.Metadata.ReleaseNotes}}` in package/content/nuget.tmpl, I guess the name Str2html misleads developers to use it to "render string to html", but it only sanitizes. if ReleaseNotes really contains HTML, then this is not a problem.

* Simplify how git repositories are opened (#28937)Lunny Xiao2024-01-271-3/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | ## Purpose This is a refactor toward building an abstraction over managing git repositories. Afterwards, it does not matter anymore if they are stored on the local disk or somewhere remote. ## What this PR changes We used `git.OpenRepository` everywhere previously. Now, we should split them into two distinct functions: Firstly, there are temporary repositories which do not change: ```go git.OpenRepository(ctx, diskPath) ``` Gitea managed repositories having a record in the database in the `repository` table are moved into the new package `gitrepo`: ```go gitrepo.OpenRepository(ctx, repo_model.Repo) ``` Why is `repo_model.Repository` the second parameter instead of file path? Because then we can easily adapt our repository storage strategy. The repositories can be stored locally, however, they could just as well be stored on a remote server. ## Further changes in other PRs - A Git Command wrapper on package `gitrepo` could be created. i.e. `NewCommand(ctx, repo_model.Repository, commands...)`. `git.RunOpts{Dir: repo.RepoPath()}`, the directory should be empty before invoking this method and it can be filled in the function only. #28940 - Remove the `RepoPath()`/`WikiPath()` functions to reduce the possibility of mistakes. --------- Co-authored-by: delvh <dev.lh@web.de>

* Upgrade xorm to new version which supported update join for all supported ↵Lunny Xiao2023-12-311-8/+3
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | databases (#28590) Fix https://github.com/go-gitea/gitea/pull/28547#issuecomment-1867740842 Since https://gitea.com/xorm/xorm/pulls/2383 merged, xorm now supports UPDATE JOIN. To keep consistent from different databases, xorm use `engine.Join().Update`, but the actural generated SQL are different between different databases. For MySQL, it's `UPDATE talbe1 JOIN table2 ON join_conditions SET xxx Where xxx`. For MSSQL, it's `UPDATE table1 SET xxx FROM TABLE1, TABLE2 WHERE join_conditions`. For SQLITE per https://www.sqlite.org/lang_update.html, sqlite support `UPDATE table1 SET xxx FROM table2 WHERE join conditions` from 3.33.0(2020-8-14). POSTGRES is the same as SQLITE.

| | | | | | | | This reverts commit b35d3fddfac389a7be401a63b4e1283dd74af681. This is totally wrong. I think `Update join` hasn't been supported well by xorm. I just revert the PR and will try to send another one.

* Enable system users for comment.LoadPoster (#28014)Earl Warren2023-11-131-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | System users (Ghost, ActionsUser, etc) have a negative id and may be the author of a comment, either because it was created by a now deleted user or via an action using a transient token. The GetPossibleUserByID function has special cases related to system users and will not fail if given a negative id. * Add the ability to pin Issues (#24406)JakobDev2023-05-251-0/+4
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This adds the ability to pin important Issues and Pull Requests. You can also move pinned Issues around to change their Position. If the value is set to 0, the Issue is not pinned. If it's set to a bigger value, the value is the Position. 1 means it's the first pinned Issue, 2 means it's the second one etc. This is dived into Issues and Pull requests for each Repo. ## TODO - [x] You can currently pin as many Issues as you want. Maybe we should add a Limit, which is configurable. GitHub uses 3, but I prefer 6, as this is better for bigger Projects, but I'm open for suggestions. - [x] Pin and Unpin events need to be added to the Issue history. - [x] Tests - [x] Migration **The feature itself is currently fully working, so tester who may find weird edge cases are very welcome!** --------- Co-authored-by: silverwind <me@silverwind.io> Co-authored-by: Giteabot <teabot@gitea.io>

* Fix issue attachment handling (#24202)wxiaoguang2023-04-201-78/+71
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Close #24195 Some of the changes are taken from my another fix https://github.com/go-gitea/gitea/pull/20147/commits/f07b0de997125c9b79cc5af27966a7cdd1803a4d in #20147 (although that PR was discarded ....) The bug is: 1. The old code doesn't handle `removedfile` event correctly 2. The old code doesn't provide attachments for type=CommentTypeReview This PR doesn't intend to refactor the "upload" code to a perfect state (to avoid making the review difficult), so some legacy styles are kept. --------- Co-authored-by: silverwind <me@silverwind.io> Co-authored-by: Giteabot <teabot@gitea.io>

| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Fix #22797. ## Reason If a comment was migrated from other platforms, this comment may have an original author and its poster is always not the original author. When the `roleDescriptor` func get the poster's role descriptor for a comment, it does not check if the comment has an original author. That means even though it has been merged, the state of the feature is **EXPERIMENTAL**, and please note that: - It is disabled by default; - It shouldn't be used in a production environment currently; - It shouldn't be used in a public Gitea instance currently; - Breaking changes may be made before it's stable. **Please comment on #13539 if you have any different product design ideas**, all decisions reached there will be adopted here. But in this PR, we don't talk about **naming, feature-creep or alternatives**. ### ⚠️ Breaking `gitea-actions` will become a reserved user name. If a user with the name already exists in the database, it is recommended to rename it. ### Some important reviews - What is `DEFAULT_ACTIONS_URL` in `app.ini` for? - https://github.com/go-gitea/gitea/pull/21937#discussion_r1055954954 - Why the api for runners is not under the normal `/api/v1` prefix? - https://github.com/go-gitea/gitea/pull/21937#discussion_r1061173592 - Why DBFS? - https://github.com/go-gitea/gitea/pull/21937#discussion_r1061301178 - Why ignore events triggered by `gitea-actions` bot? - https://github.com/go-gitea/gitea/pull/21937#discussion_r1063254103 - Why there's no permission control for actions? - https://github.com/go-gitea/gitea/pull/21937#discussion_r1090229868 ### What it looks like <details> #### Manage runners <img width="1792" alt="image" src="https://user-images.githubusercontent.com/9418365/205870657-c72f590e-2e08-4cd4-be7f-2e0abb299bbf.png"> #### List runs <img width="1792" alt="image" src="https://user-images.githubusercontent.com/9418365/205872794-50fde990-2b45-48c1-a178-908e4ec5b627.png"> #### View logs <img width="1792" alt="image" src="https://user-images.githubusercontent.com/9418365/205872501-9b7b9000-9542-4991-8f55-18ccdada77c3.png"> </details> ### How to try it <details> #### 1. Yes, Gitea Actions is compatible with GitHub Actions in most cases, you can use the same demo: ```yaml name: GitHub Actions Demo run-name: ${{ github.actor }} is testing out GitHub Actions 🚀 on: [push] jobs: Explore-GitHub-Actions: runs-on: ubuntu-latest steps: - run: echo "🎉 The job was automatically triggered by a ${{ github.event_name }} event." - run: echo "🐧 This job is now running on a ${{ runner.os }} server hosted by GitHub!" - run: echo "🔎 The name of your branch is ${{ github.ref }} and your repository is ${{ github.repository }}." - name: Check out repository code uses: actions/checkout@v3 - run: echo "💡 The ${{ github.repository }} repository has been cloned to the runner." - run: echo "🖥️ The workflow is now ready to test your code on the runner." - name: List files in the repository run: | ls ${{ github.workspace }} - run: echo "🍏 This job's status is ${{ job.status }}." ``` If all is well, you'll see a new run in `Actions` tab: <img width="1792" alt="image" src="https://user-images.githubusercontent.com/9418365/205884473-79a874bc-171b-4aaf-acd5-0241a45c3b53.png"> #### 5. * Support importing comment types (#22510)Sybren2023-01-181-0/+9
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This commit adds support for specifying comment types when importing with `gitea restore-repo`. It makes it possible to import issue changes, such as "title changed" or "assigned user changed". An earlier version of this pull request was made by Matti Ranta, in https://future.projects.blender.org/blender-migration/gitea-bf/pulls/3 There are two changes with regard to Matti's original code: 1. The comment type was an `int64` in Matti's code, and is now using a string. This makes it possible to use `comment_type: title`, which is more reliable and future-proof than an index into an internal list in the Gitea Go code. 2. Matti's code also had support for including labels, but in a way that would require knowing the database ID of the labels before the import even starts, which is impossible. This can be solved by using label names instead of IDs; for simplicity I I left that out of this PR.

* Use context parameter in models/git (#22367)Jason Song2023-01-091-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | After #22362, we can feel free to use transactions without `db.DefaultContext`. And there are still lots of models using `db.DefaultContext`, I think we should refactor them carefully and one by one. Co-authored-by: Lunny Xiao <xiaolunwen@gmail.com>
