* Move issue pin to an standalone table for querying performance (#33452)Lunny Xiao2025-02-171-185/+30
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Noticed a SQL in gitea.com has a bigger load. It seems both `is_pull` and `pin_order` are not indexed columns in the database. ```SQL SELECT `id`, `repo_id`, `index`, `poster_id`, `original_author`, `original_author_id`, `name`, `content`, `content_version`, `milestone_id`, `priority`, `is_closed`, `is_pull`, `num_comments`, `ref`, `pin_order`, `deadline_unix`, `created_unix`, `updated_unix`, `closed_unix`, `is_locked`, `time_estimate` FROM `issue` WHERE (repo_id =?) AND (is_pull = 0) AND (pin_order > 0) ORDER BY pin_order ``` I came across a comment https://github.com/go-gitea/gitea/pull/24406#issuecomment-1527747296 from @delvh , which presents a more reasonable approach. Based on this, this PR will migrate all issue and pull request pin data from the `issue` table to the `issue_pin` table. This change benefits larger Gitea instances by improving scalability and performance. --------- Co-authored-by: wxiaoguang <wxiaoguang@gmail.com>

* Refactor some Str2html code (#29397)wxiaoguang2024-03-011-1/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This PR touches the most interesting part of the "template refactoring". 1. Unclear variable type. Especially for "web/feed/convert.go": sometimes it uses text, sometimes it uses HTML. 2. Assign text content to "RenderedContent" field, for example: ` project.RenderedContent = project.Description` in web/org/projects.go 3. Assign rendered content to text field, for example: `r.Note = rendered content` in web/repo/release.go 4. (possible) Incorrectly calling `{{Str2html .PackageDescriptor.Metadata.ReleaseNotes}}` in package/content/nuget.tmpl, I guess the name Str2html misleads developers to use it to "render string to html", but it only sanitizes. if ReleaseNotes really contains HTML, then this is not a problem.
* Remove deadcode under models/issues (#28536)Nanguan Lin2023-12-191-9/+0
| | | | | | | Using the Go Official tool `golang.org/x/tools/cmd/deadcode@latest` mentioned by [go blog](https://go.dev/blog/deadcode). * Refactor and enhance issue indexer to support both searching, filtering and ↵Jason Song2023-07-311-2/+24
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | paging (#26012) Fix #24662. Replace #24822 and #25708 (although it has been merged) ## Background In the past, Gitea supported issue searching with a keyword and conditions in a less efficient way. It worked by searching for issues with the keyword and obtaining limited IDs (as it is heavy to get all) on the indexer (bleve/elasticsearch/meilisearch), and then querying with conditions on the database to find a subset of the found IDs. This is why the results could be incomplete. To solve this issue, we need to store all fields that could be used as conditions in the indexer and support both keyword and additional conditions when searching with the indexer. ## Major changes - Redefine `IndexerData` to include all fields that could be used as filter conditions. - Refactor `Search(ctx context.Context, kw string, repoIDs []int64, limit, start int, state string)` to `Search(ctx context.Context, options *SearchOptions)`, so it supports more conditions now. - Change the data type stored in `issueIndexerQueue`. Use `IndexerMetadata` instead of `IndexerData` in case the data has been updated while it is in the queue. This also reduces the storage size of the queue. - Enhance searching with Bleve/Elasticsearch/Meilisearch, make them fully support `SearchOptions`. Also, update the data versions. - Keep most logic of database indexer, but remove `issues.SearchIssueIDsByKeyword` in `models` to avoid confusion where is the entry point to search issues. - Start a Meilisearch instance to test it in unit tests. - Add unit tests with almost full coverage to test Bleve/Elasticsearch/Meilisearch indexer. --------- Co-authored-by: Lunny Xiao <xiaolunwen@gmail.com>

* Add the ability to pin Issues (#24406)JakobDev2023-05-251-0/+179
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This adds the ability to pin important Issues and Pull Requests. You can also move pinned Issues around to change their Position. If the value is set to 0, the Issue is not pinned. If it's set to a bigger value, the value is the Position. 1 means it's the first pinned Issue, 2 means it's the second one etc. This is dived into Issues and Pull requests for each Repo. ## TODO - [x] You can currently pin as many Issues as you want. Maybe we should add a Limit, which is configurable. GitHub uses 3, but I prefer 6, as this is better for bigger Projects, but I'm open for suggestions. - [x] Pin and Unpin events need to be added to the Issue history. - [x] Tests - [x] Migration **The feature itself is currently fully working, so tester who may find weird edge cases are very welcome!** --------- Co-authored-by: silverwind <me@silverwind.io> Co-authored-by: Giteabot <teabot@gitea.io>

* Scoped labels (#22585)Brecht Van Lommel2023-02-181-0/+27
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Add a new "exclusive" option per label. This makes it so that when the label is named `scope/name`, no other label with the same `scope/` prefix can be set on an issue. The scope is determined by the last occurence of `/`, so for example `scope/alpha/name` and `scope/beta/name` are considered to be in different scopes and can coexist. Exclusive scopes are not enforced by any database rules, however they are enforced when editing labels at the models level, automatically removing any existing labels in the same scope when either attaching a new label or replacing all labels. In menus use a circle instead of checkbox to indicate they function as radio buttons per scope. Issue filtering by label ensures that only a single scoped label is selected at a time. Clicking with alt key can be used to remove a scoped label, both when editing individual issues and batch editing. Label rendering refactor for consistency and code simplification: * Labels now consistently have the same shape, emojis and tooltips everywhere. This includes the label list and label assignment menus. * In label list, show description below label same as label menus. * Don't use exactly black/white text colors to look a bit nicer. * Simplify text color computation. There is no point computing luminance in linear color space, as this is a perceptual problem and sRGB is closer to perceptually linear. * Increase height of label assignment menus to show more labels. Showing only 3-4 labels at a time leads to a lot of scrolling. * Render all labels with a new RenderLabel template helper function. Label creation and editing in multiline modal menu: * Change label creation to open a modal menu like label editing. * Change menu layout to place name, description and colors on separate lines. * Don't color cancel button red in label editing modal menu. * Align text to the left in model menu for better readability and consistent with settings layout elsewhere. Custom exclusive scoped label rendering: * Display scoped label prefix and suffix with slightly darker and lighter background color respectively, and a slanted edge between them similar to the `/` symbol. * In menus exclusive labels are grouped with a divider line. --------- Co-authored-by: Yarden Shoham <hrsi88@gmail.com> Co-authored-by: Lauris BH <lauris@nix.lv>

| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Fix #22797. ## Reason If a comment was migrated from other platforms, this comment may have an original author and its poster is always not the original author. When the `roleDescriptor` func get the poster's role descriptor for a comment, it does not check if the comment has an original author. So the migrated comments' original authors might be marked as incorrect roles. --------- Co-authored-by: zeripath <art27@cantab.net> Co-authored-by: Lunny Xiao <xiaolunwen@gmail.com>

That means even though it has been merged, the state of the feature is **EXPERIMENTAL**, and please note that: - It is disabled by default; - It shouldn't be used in a production environment currently; - It shouldn't be used in a public Gitea instance currently; - Breaking changes may be made before it's stable. **Please comment on #13539 if you have any different product design ideas**, all decisions reached there will be adopted here. But in this PR, we don't talk about **naming, feature-creep or alternatives**. ### ⚠️ Breaking `gitea-actions` will become a reserved user name. If all is well, you'll see the management page of runners: <img width="1792" alt="image" src="https://user-images.githubusercontent.com/9418365/205877365-8e30a780-9b10-4154-b3e8-ee6c3cb35a59.png"> #### 2. Start runner Clone the [act_runner](https://gitea.com/gitea/act_runner), and follow the [README](https://gitea.com/gitea/act_runner/src/branch/main/README.md) to start it. If all is well, you'll see a new runner has been added: <img width="1792" alt="image" src="https://user-images.githubusercontent.com/9418365/205878000-216f5937-e696-470d-b66c-8473987d91c3.png"> #### 3. Enable actions for a repo Create a new repo or open an existing one, check the `Actions` checkbox in settings and submit. <img width="1792" alt="image" src="https://user-images.githubusercontent.com/9418365/205879705-53e09208-73c0-4b3e-a123-2dcf9aba4b9c.png"> <img width="1792" alt="image" src="https://user-images.githubusercontent.com/9418365/205879383-23f3d08f-1a85-41dd-a8b3-54e2ee6453e8.png"> If all is well, you'll see a new tab "Actions": <img width="1792" alt="image" src="https://user-images.githubusercontent.com/9418365/205881648-a8072d8c-5803-4d76-b8a8-9b2fb49516c1.png"> #### 4. Upload workflow files Upload some workflow files to `.gitea/workflows/xxx.yaml`, you can follow the [quickstart](https://docs.github.com/en/actions/quickstart) of GitHub Actions. Yes, Gitea Actions is compatible with GitHub Actions in most cases, you can use the same demo: ```yaml name: GitHub Actions Demo run-name: ${{ github.actor }} is testing out GitHub Actions 🚀 on: [push] jobs: Explore-GitHub-Actions: runs-on: ubuntu-latest steps: - run: echo "🎉 The job was automatically triggered by a ${{ github.event_name }} event." - run: echo "🐧 This job is now running on a ${{ runner.os }} server hosted by GitHub!" - run: echo "🔎 The name of your branch is ${{ github.ref }} and your repository is ${{ github.repository }}." - name: Check out repository code uses: actions/checkout@v3 - run: echo "💡 The ${{ github.repository }} repository has been cloned to the runner." - run: echo "🖥️ The workflow is now ready to test your code on the runner." - name: List files in the repository run: | ls ${{ github.workspace }} - run: echo "🍏 This job's status is ${{ job.status }}." ``` If all is well, you'll see a new run in `Actions` tab: <img width="1792" alt="image" src="https://user-images.githubusercontent.com/9418365/205884473-79a874bc-171b-4aaf-acd5-0241a45c3b53.png"> #### 5. Check the logs of jobs Click a run and you'll see the logs: <img width="1792" alt="image" src="https://user-images.githubusercontent.com/9418365/205884800-994b0374-67f7-48ff-be9a-4c53f3141547.png"> #### 6. Go on You can try more examples in [the documents](https://docs.github.com/en/actions/using-workflows/workflow-syntax-for-github-actions) of GitHub Actions, then you might find a lot of bugs. Come on, PRs are welcome. </details> See also: [Feature Preview: Gitea Actions](https://blog.gitea.io/2022/12/feature-preview-gitea-actions/) --------- Co-authored-by: a1012112796 <1012112796@qq.com> Co-authored-by: Lunny Xiao <xiaolunwen@gmail.com> Co-authored-by: delvh <dev.lh@web.de> Co-authored-by: ChristopherHX <christopher.homberger@web.de> Co-authored-by: John Olheiser <john.olheiser@gmail.com>

* Improve utils of slices (#22379)Jason Song2023-01-111-2/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | - Move the file `compare.go` and `slice.go` to `slice.go`. - Fix `ExistsInSlice`, it's buggy - It uses `sort.Search`, so it assumes that the input slice is sorted. - It passes `func(i int) bool { return slice[i] == target })` to `sort.Search`, that's incorrect, check the doc of `sort.Search`. - Conbine `IsInt64InSlice(int64, []int64)` and `ExistsInSlice(string, []string)` to `SliceContains[T]([]T, T)`. - Conbine `IsSliceInt64Eq([]int64, []int64)` and `IsEqualSlice([]string, []string)` to `SliceSortedEqual[T]([]T, T)`. - Add `SliceEqual[T]([]T, T)` as a distinction from `SliceSortedEqual[T]([]T, T)`. - Redesign `RemoveIDFromList([]int64, int64) ([]int64, bool)` to `SliceRemoveAll[T]([]T, T) []T`. - Add `SliceContainsFunc[T]([]T, func(T) bool)` and `SliceRemoveAllFunc[T]([]T, func(T) bool)` for general use. - Add comments to explain why not `golang.org/x/exp/slices`. - Add unit tests.

* Check primary keys for all tables and drop ForeignReference (#21721)Jason Song2022-12-231-55/+5
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Some dbs require that all tables have primary keys, see - #16802 - #21086 We can add a test to keep it from being broken again. Edit: ~Added missing primary key for `ForeignReference`~ Dropped the `ForeignReference` table to satisfy the check, so it closes #21086. More context can be found in comments.
